Objective
This network will train six young visiting researchers in a truly multidisciplinarity program gathering strong expertise in physical chemistry, developmental neurobiology and cell biology. Each team will serve as a base but all the post-doctorates will spend extensive periods in other laboratories to receive training. This will provide them with the means to exploit their abilities maximally in such a way that they generate high-level scientific papers directly. We intend to use specialized training courses and workshops/symposia to instruct visiting researchers and other network members in techniques and in specific topics of interest. The creativity that such interactions can unleash among a suitable combination of participants is one of the most telling arguments for science funding at the European rather than the national level. As a result our network should offer young scientists the means to enhance and develop their long term potential and their immediate career possibilities.
