Surface active sites and emission control catalysis

Objective

There is a special need at the European level to promote the training of young researchers in the areas covered by our proposed project. The reasons may be summarized as follows; the YRs will
(1) learn about the functionality of modern catalyst materials and gain experience in working with these extremely important materials, and
(2) learn about the modern surface analytical techniques (experimental as well as computational/ theoretical) that underpin much of the research and development in today's high technology industries. The training of young European researchers is the major aim of this Network. Each YR will get exposed to several different techniques (experimental and/or theoretical), in a few different laboratories, including at least one industry. The Network will contribute to the training of 18-16 young researchers for a total of 252 months.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
