Objective
The Network will constitute an excellent basis for training doctorate and post -doctorate students in an emerging field of research. The different product areas ensure a broad training for the young researchers in bulk polymers and chemicals, resins, fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Moreover, the young researchers, by moving within the Network, will have the possibility to meet different chemical cultures and most importantly, they will work on different parts of a highly consistent project. They will cover the whole cycle starting form the design of the catalysts and their components to the synthesis of the different products, via the insight of mechanism involved in the catalysis. They will also receive training in the most common techniques for the characterization of the catalysts as well as in procedures that are novel and not commonly available in a laboratory. Moreover, they will be hosted for a period in industries to learn how industry approaches the chemical problems in research, which is very useful for their career development The young scientists will participate in all the Meeting organized by the Network, where they will present their results both as oral communications and posters. They will also attend international conferences and contacts with top-scientists external to the Network will be arranged.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
