Objective
The training programme of the EUMARSAND Research Training Network consists of several complementing measures. The young researchers will be trained through:
(i) taking an energetic part in on-going relevant research within the participating institutes;
(ii) following post-graduate courses taught in the relevant host-institutes;
(iii) following specialised courses in other (than the host) Network institutes;
(iv) attending a multidisciplinary 10-day course at the beginning of their appointment, which will cover all aspects of the project;
(v) attending the specialised workshops planned to run 'back-to back' with the regular progress meetings;
(vi) taking part in the common fieldwork programmes; and
(vii) participating in short visits and secondments to other research institutes, industrial concerns and regulatory bodies, and attending relevant specialised conferences/workshops outside the Network.
