Objective
This project will offer young researchers the opportunity to engage in both doctoral and post -doctoral research in the field of European and comparative law. They will be asked to investigate a specific topic with reference to the relationship between fundamental rights and private law. Most of the topics will concentrate on private law, but it will also be possible to conduct research into wider issues of constitutional or European law. Every researcher is asked to compare the law of at least two European countries (the home country and the employing country). S/he will be tutored by a professor from the university at which s/he will be based for the main part of the research, and, additionally, by associated tutors from the partner universities of the countries involved in her or his specific comparative research. Each unit of the network will offer the needed assistance for the researchers, so that they will have access to both an expert in private law and one in constitutional and/ or in European law. The researchers are required to attend seminars on the subject they are working on. Special seminars may be offered by the participating Law Faculties.
