The emergence of european communities

Objective

The research objectives of the project are twofold: to apply and teach IT and Natural Science techniques in three interlinked archaeological field projects (Monte Polizzo, Sicily, Szazhalombatta, Hungary and Tanum/Kivik, Sweden. To develop a European research network that will allow the application of comparative analyses and interpretations between the three projects. The research themes will be
- Natural science applications in archaeology, including soil science (CU), pottery analysis (UOS) osteology and macrofossil analysis (UGOT).
- IT applications in archaeology, including GIS landscape analysis and digital recording systems. Host institutions will be UGOT and USC:
- Post doc and PhD programs in archaeology. All host institutions (except MM) mentioned. The projects will include the following research projects

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)
