Novel ion channels in plants

Objective

The NICIP network programme encompasses the application of the specific technologies used in plant research. These different disciplines, technologies, and approaches are integrated in this project under the joint objective of gaining new insight into plant transport processes. Young researchers will qualify further in different disciplines including functional genomics and proteomics which will give them much better opportunities to find employment in academia as well as in the biotechnology industry. They will have the chance to get to know industrial partners during working visits and thus will extend their experience in industrial application of plant research. By actively transposing training measures like presentations of scientific results, working visits in another laboratory of the network, and instructing co-workers being involved in the project they will be trained in communication and project management skills.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
