Plant membrane transporters: from structure to function

Objective

Everyday training will be the responsibility of the direct supervisor and his team. The project will be defined so that it allows the trainee to become acquainted with various experimental approaches, including those run by other partners. As the data progress, the trainees will make short or long stays in another partner's laboratory to fulfill their project. To enlarge their scientific perspective, trainees will attend weekly seminars organized locally, international meetings and formal training courses. General training for all the EU fellows and other researchers within the consortium will take place during meetings held at each place every 9 months. During these meetings, demonstrations of in-house expertise and special equipment will be organized in molecular biophysics, enzymology, bioenergetics, metabolic regulation, computational biology, genomics and general genetics, and physiology. Fellows will attend post-graduate courses or workshops organized in their Institution or at the international level. Besides scientific matters, these courses also concern communication, management, commercial entrepreneurship and patenting.
