Multimedia on energy and on semiconductors for european countries.

Objective

Features of the proposal: to provide citizens of European countries with an understanding of nature of energy, its transformations, and their impact on modern societies. Objectives: to explain the impact of science and its applications and the benefits to the general public and to young students, diffusing at a European level an activity successfully initiated at national level. The objectives will be achieved through the development of a English and Spanish version of the multimedia course "L'energia e le sue trasformazioni", produced by INFM and financed by MPI (both in CD-ROM and on-line formats). The product will be presented at the European S.T. Week 2002, at exhibitions, and used in schools by 10-14 years old pupils. This project is intended to bridge the gap between the general public and scientific and technological knowledge, taking advantage of the effectiveness of multimedia approaches to teaching.
