Objective
The major objective of SC/FI is to improve on the extreme lack of information of the European public on the benefits of fuel cell technologies, by raising public awareness and enhancing the understanding of these technologies. SCIFI intends to develop a unique approach based on regional competence centres for scientific information, with task forces on specific scientific fields that include representatives from science, industry, media (radio, TV, editors, newspapers, exhibition-engineers etc.) and regional organizations. The competence centres will operate as regional platforms to co-ordinate and organize the process of information and communication of scientific and technological contents to public target groups. By starting in three European "fuel cell cluster" regions. This methodological approach will be tested and optimized for dissemination in Europe. The participating regions will build a nucleus for a wider European network.
