Objective

The project is dealing with future minority language policies in the European Union. The central hypothesis is that language preservation and language teaching depends on intervention from outside the sphere of language preservation, training and development. Language policies are embedded in the social and political environment. These political aspects are studied with regard to regional ethnic and to migrant minority languages.
