Objective
The proposed research will concentrate on the issues of university cultures and work cultures mediated by cultural traditions, and eventually constructed in the minds of the students. It will address the problems of adequacy of educational institutions to the demands of the life of work; however, this will be done in a way that will enable the researchers to investigate the "human dimension" of the "human capital" issue - from the perspective of a learning person.
The main problems addressed in the project are:
1. What discourses can be discerned in education and working life as significant for the students and the novices in their constructions of studies and vocations?
2. Which structural/material/cultural conditions contribute to those discourses?
3. What strategies do students and novices apply in order to cope with knowledge formation - learning - in studies and work?
