The regulatory framework of globalisation: contents, instruments and agents. the need for an overall view.

Objective

The workshop aims to develop an overall approach for the establishment of an adequate regulatory framework for the global economy and related social issues. This overall approach should be interdisciplinary, address the different regulatory levels and cover he whole system of international agreements and organizations. To attain this goal, the workshop will put together high-level practititoners with a sound formation in social disciplines and academics that have been keen in studying the real functioning of political and legal institutions. The workshop should identify four interdependent sets of questions in which further research is needed:
a) topics to be included in the regulatory framework;
b) regulatory levels in which to deal with them;
c) best type of rules to apply;
d) mechanisms of enforcement of such rules. The workshop will also aim at consolidating a group of practitioners and academics sharing the same approach who
