Objective
Given the changing relationship between industrialised country agricultures (ICA) and societies, our project aims to improve stakeholder's ability to learn/act collectively. It will explore a new paradigm to ground pragmatically the relationships among researchers and practitioners within situations of change in ICA and increase capacity building. A social scientists network will organise national workshops between scientists and practitioners, round tables and a EU conference. The output will be conceptual and projective, the objective being to define an area of innovative research that could ground new EU actions in the research programme definition. It aims to build a social science research agenda for R&D based on a participatory bottom up approach and comparative procedure and to involve social sciences in the 6th Framework. Outputs will be formalised briefing notes, a web site open to participants and EU officers and publications.
