DESK TOP PUBLISHING

Objective

To train and employ young graduates for desk top publishing.

MAIN DOMAIN OF INNOVATION:

Innovative training needs analysis with a special focus on core/key qualifications.

TARGET GROUP(S):

Young people in initial training/education. Unqualified or less qualified. Trainers/Instructors/Tutors. Young people (high school diploma) who want to qualify for the graphic, typographic and printing sector. Trainers.

OPERATING CONTEXT:

Productivity improvement. Competitiveness. Economic regeneration. Introduction of New Technologies increases SMEs competitiveness but requires skilled workers.

TECHNOLOGY:

Information and communication technologies. Use has been made of information technology, in the form of personal computers and software.

INVOLVEMENT WITH ENTERPRISES:

Training institute-enterprise cooperation.

INVOLVEMENT OF SOCIAL PARTNERS:

Funding by social partners.

RESULTS:

Transferable models and concepts. Training programmes/courses for advanced technologies. Profile of a new operator multi-skilled in graphic and typographic areas.
