Support to the slovak academic network for building regional awareness

Objective

The proposed measure supports Slovak SMEs via Slovak Academic Network for FP5, established by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic in April 2000. The reason for this proposal is a very low participation of Slovak SMEs in FP5, stemming from the fact that managers of Slovak SMEs have limited knowledge or no knowledge at all about FP5. The objective therefore is to involve as many Slovak SMEs as possible in FP5 by identifying a proper academic partner university or research institute), in co-operation with which an SME will submit a proposal. The objective will be achieved via training in all Slovakia's regions and different information dissemination activities. The outcome expected is 25 FP5 project proposals submitted by a tandem ' Slovak SME - Slovak academic partner'.
