Baltic states rtd community in eu 5th framework programme (mid-term evaluation and progress workshop)

Objective

The Workshop is proposed to encourage and activate participation of the RTD Community of the Baltic States in FP5 programmes. It is expected that workshop participants will gain from introductory lectures and interactive discussion with EU experts in groups for project management and/or project re-submitting. Skilled lecturers from the EU Member states and from the Baltic States Naps network, trained during the previous FPS BALTNET project (Contract. No. 1CA1-CT-1999-50003) will cover issues including consortium building, management of projects, reporting and cost statements, dissemination of the results, avoiding of typical mistakes in submitting proposals and improvement of rejected proposals. A synthesis of the obtained knowledge and recommendations drawn from discussions could stimulate consolidation of the Baltic RTD Community with the joint European research area. Poster session on success stories in different FP5 calls will be a valuable addition to discussions.
