Objective
ECOS 2002, the 15th International Conference on Efficiency, Costs, Optimisation, Simulation and Environmental Impact of Energy Systems will provide scientists and engineers from academia and industry with a forum to present their recent findings on the design, management, analysis, economic performance, environmental assessment, and optimisation of energy systems. Conference participation support for researchers from states in the phase of pre-accession to the European Union will promote the development of scientific networks among researchers from candidate countries and member states working in the field of energy research. This in turn would facilitate their participation in future joint projects and concerted actions aimed at achieving cleaner energy systems. As a consequence, the measure should increase both the quality of energy related research and the environmental performance of current energy systems.
