Environmentally benign, energy and structural materials saving solid lubricants for machine- building industry

Objective

The absence of technologies for sufficient (2-3 times) improvement of material swear resistance under severe operation conditions limits a reliability of modern machines and mechanisms. The main Proposal objective is the development of environmentally benign innovative technology of synthesis of solid lubricants allowing to: increase in 2-3 times the durability of slipper pad bearings (rolling mills) and bushings (large scale presses and metal forming machines); increase in times the durability of rolling tools and dies for cold metal forming; increase in 2-3 times the durability of conic-roll bearings (cars and industrial vehicles);decrease of oil lubricants consumption of 720 000 tonnes per year and greases consumption of 10 000 tonnes per year; decrease in 2 times of carcinogens components in working environment in machine building and steel industry; decrease of 12% electricity consumption of large scale presses and rolling mills.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
