Georgian awarness and training network

Objective

The main objective of GeoTrain is to form a national network of trainers coming from each institute (51) of the Georgian Academy of Sciences (GAS). The trainers will be provided with information and skills concerning partner search, project writing and management thus increasing the possibility of the participation of Georgian scientists in ongoing and upcoming EU framework programmes. The project will be co-ordinated by the GAS, the most important research forum of the country. Two training courses and a brokerage event will be organised in Tbilisi with the aid of a Swedish consulting company specialised in education, training, and management of research projects. A practical informative manual a troubleshooting guide and an informative web site in English and Georgian will also be prepared within the project. Local SMEs, other institutes, helpdesks and contact points of other European organisations will be involved in the network
