Conservation of the acoustical heritage by the revival and identification of the sinan's mosque's acoustics

Objective

Main objectives of this research are identification, rele-vival and conservation of architectural heritage in a new way. Objective and subjective evaluation and audio-visual reconstruction of Sinan's mosques and Byzantine churches in real-time 3D virtual environments are the basic approaches to reach the goals of the research. Virtual restoration, virtual conservation, determination of different significant acoustical effects and improvement of the acoustical criteria for architectural design will be main results. By means of this wide frame research, in the fields of acoustics, architecture and simulation technologies conceptual and practical innovation will be created.
