Objective
This Accompanying Measure proposal deals with the organization of an international workshop as major way of presentation and diffusion of the results of project DEMOS (INCO-DC 4th Framework, 1997-2000) , whose main concern is the development of innovative methods of monitoring desertification in the Mediterranean areas based on plant ecophysiology, coordinated by the University of Trieste (Italy) and carried out by the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (Greece), the Ege University of Izmir (Turkey) , and the Lebanese University of Beirut ( Lebanon ) .
