International seminar on museology, display and preservation of archaeological sites in the mediterranean countries: providing basis for the sustainable development in the mediterranean basin through the valorisation of cultural heritage

Objective

The proposed accompanying measure is the organisation of an international seminaron museology and organisation of archaeological heritage in Barcelona (Spain) will promote international RTD co-operation. It will be organised by the Archaeological Museum of Catalonia and we aim to target several research groups from museums and universities of East and South Mediterranean countries. We are expecting about 20 participants from the international seminar and we have invited a total of 10 representative speakers. The aim of this international seminar is to provide orientation in the series of steps necessaries to make areas of the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean archaeological sites available to the public. The recommendations of the international seminar will represent key documentation to envisage mechanisms for contribute to the socio-economic enhancement of the Mediterranean Countries involved.
