Objective
The main general objective of REG-MED is to create a network of experts and researchers for the common analysis and discussion on the transport-related regulatory framework, with a view to improving the interoperability and efficiency of transport in the Mediterranean. REG.MED will set up this network discussion with the following main specific objectives:
(i) to identify the regulatory obstacles;
(ii) to research for solutions to identify suitable proposals to reduce its impact, and
(iii) to evaluate the contribution of the approach to EU regulatory framework and international conventions. In order to achieve the REG-MED objectives five seminars will be carried out. Representatives of responsible authorities (MS & MPC), operators, international experts, as well as EC representatives will participate in the seminars. REG-MED will contribute to spread EU transport policies and international conventions and agreements.
