Objective
The workshop is an integral part of the initiation of an ASEM project Forestry Conservation and sustainable Development endorsed by Leaders at the Third Simmering on 21st October, 2000, Seoul. Finland is setting up an ASEM Forestry ExpertsTM Network, the Network being a specific component of the project. The workshop will be the organisation meeting for the Network. The workshop is planned to be held in China in June 2001. The Experts TM Network Coordination in the University of Turk Centre for Biodiversity is the main organiser of the workshop, and the Chinese Ministry of S & T acts as a host partner.
