Objective
HYPDOC provides an integrated system for preparing multimedia material for publishers and industrial companies. It will store this material and provide for its easy access to all authorised users in a given network, facilitating communication and computer-based cooperative work. The aim is to compensate for the absence on the market of a single tool for the simultaneous matching of key requirements such as powerful multimedia information retrieval capability, in an approach involving a suitable combination of state-of-the-art technologies and existing products, and creation of a pre-operationally tested working prototype.
