Bimillenary of Christ

Objective

The overall strategic objective of this project is to fully exploit and make available to the public all over the world a lesser known aspect of Europ's cultural heritage. This can be done by integrating an unprecedent number of very beautiful illustrations from precious manuscripts and codeces from the fourth to the sixteen centuries into three different applications made possible by available information and communication technologies. It is relevant to note that this is possible only because of a joint temporary program of the Italian Government and The Vatican State (The Bimillenary of Christ program) intended to prepare and celebrate the Jubileum of the year 2000, and that such an opportunity will probably never present itself again in the foreseeable future. Our companies intend to form a consortium coordinated by Centro Tibaldi srl, designed to create, develop, and market - in the period preceding, during, and immediately after the foreseen celebrations of the Jubileum - three different on line and off line interactive multimedia products and services, with the objective of contributing to the promotion of the public's knowledge of a very important, albeit lesser known, aspect of Europe's cultural heritage.
