Objective
The Euler International Mathematical Institute (EIMI), will attract leading mathematicians from Western Europe to work with scientists from the NIS for approximately 3 to 4 months at a time. In this way substantial support for the scientific results of the EIMI will be achieved.
The objective of this project is to help the NIS with development and expansion of its research computer networks. Connectivity with the European and world wide networks will be established. The resulting improvement of their research infrastructure will help their integration into European and worldwide scientific community cooperation and will contribute to their longer term scientific and technological capacity.
Funding will mainly be used for initial installations and adaptation for the connection to European research networks as well as supporting software. The project will allow researchers in the concerned countries to benefit from existing services.
