Objective

The goal of this project is the enantio and stereoselective synthesis of biologically important natural products and their analogues exhibiting anti-tumour and immunosuppressant properties as well as potential inhibitors of HMG-CoA reductase.

The research will be carried out as follows: total synthesis of Quadrone exhibiting anti-tumor properties; synthesis of the potent immonosuppressant Myrioan and analogues; and synthesis of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor COMPACTIN.
