Network on heterocyclic chemistry

Objective

The goal of this project is to create a network of outstanding research groups working in heterocyclic chemistry on overlapping topics, e.g. synthesis of heterocyclic compounds useful in medicinal and agricultural applications, heterocycles present in nature or heterocycles in environmental sciences. Research groups from Minsk, Novosibirsk, Moscow and Kiev, will participate along with groups from Gent, Delft, Catania and Innsbruck. The network will provide the possibility of communication with the world scientific community, coverage of some small working costs and collaboration in the use of heavy equipment. The project will make sure that indispensable scientific journals become available in the NIS institutes.

Furthermore, exchange of NIS researchers and their participation at scientific conferences will be provided.

If necessary, personal support and small office equipment can be procured. In order to continue the ongoing research, limited budgets are foreseen for working costs, specifically for chemicals, some small laboratory equipment and repairs of instruments. Where larger instruments, e.g. NMR and mass spectrometers are not available (or impossible to repair) in the NIS institutes, an exchange of research samples with the partners will occur in order to continue the ongoing research.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
