Objective
In the research co-operation between the Theoretical Laboratory of the Institute of Macromolecular Compounds and laboratories in Russia and scientists from INTAS member states, a better understanding of the local and co-operative motions in polymer networks will be achieved. These motions are manifested in dielectric and mechanical relaxations, T2-NMR relaxation, light scattering and other experimental methods. Starting from the experience in theoretical description of molecular motions in the melt at the Institute of Macromolecular Compounds and the experimental possibilities of the partners, the investigations will be extended to polymer networks. Different structure parameters will be varied in a systematic manner. The project will include the exchange of scientists of Russia and western Europe, and the preparation and exchange of model samples between the experimental groups.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
