Exploitable results

The aim of this research co-operation was a combined experimental and theoretical investigation of the correlation between structure and molecular mobility of polymer networks. The special topic of the programme was to investigate the influence of variation of the network chains to the local dynamic as well as to the co-operative dynamics of the network chains. In the first phase defined model networks, including well defined structure elements and those with special properties in the network chains were prepared and characterised. In the second phase of the project investigations with various methods for characterisation of the morphology and different relaxation methods were performed in the different laboratories, the results were exchanged, discussed and summarised. The experimental investigations are coupled to a development of the theory of polymer networks, particularly its dynamics. The main objective of the project was to correlate structure and molecular mobility of polymer networks with well defined structure elements.
