Stochastic analysis and related topics

Objective

This project brings together groups and individuals working in stochastic analysis and applications in the NIS with a network already operating in the EC with EC support. Co-operation will include research in stochastic partial and ordinary differential equations, especially asymptotic problems and large deviations given small parameters, invariant measures and qualitative properties of stochastic partial differential equations (PDE), in particular the study of non-linear-stochastic PDE as dynamical systems, boundary problems in stochastic PDE, and stochastic approaches to deterministic PDE.

Among other related topics in infinite-dimensional analysis are stochastic dynamics and stochastic quantization in classical and quantum lattice models, analytic properties of log-concave measures and ergodicity properties of the corresponding diffusions, invariant measures for infinite-dimensional diffusions on manifolds, connections with the general theory of Gibbs measures, non-Gaussian analysis and generalised function theory in infinite dimensions, the study of differential and pseudo-differential operators, especially-Dirac operators, and oscillatory integrals on infinite-dimensional manifolds, and hypoellipticity properties.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
