Novel membrane materials for environmental protection control

Objective

All the participating laboratories in this network have had long standing research programmes in membrane science and technology and are internationally recognized for innovation in their field.

Most of the researchers involved in this programme have had the opportunity to exchange experiences and to co-operate in joint research. Examples are the exchange of researchers and lecturers in the areas of: polymeric gas separation and pervaporation membranes; membrane reactors for chemistry and biotechnology; methods for membrane characterization; novel membrane materials for gas separation and reverse osmosis; and in new fields of application for the membranes prepared

There will be an effort to extend the contacts and the collaboration with other research groups from east and west Europe who are also involved in INTAS approved networks in the areas of membrane science and technology.

The network will carry out the following research: preparation of membranes as support materials. Polysulfone and polyamide for nanofiltration (NF), dense gas separation (GS) and pervaporation (PV); characterisation of the membranes (morphological and transport properties); and a test of the membrane for different operations such as nanofiltration, pervaporation, catalytic oxidation, and gas separation.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
