Objective
The participants will jointly investigate a number of outstanding problems that will enhance our understanding of the physical conditions and the physical processes in solar active regions and bursts. Particular goals include: the improvement of diagnostics of the plasma and the magnetic field; peculiar sources in solar active regions; the formation and evolution of active regions; high spatial and temporal resolution study of microwave bursts; acceleration and transfer of high energy particles in evolving active regions; and the fragmentation of energy release in flares
The participants will use their observational resources and their expertise in data analysis and theory in order to address these subjects. The available instrumentation includes: the Siberian Solar Radio Telescope; the RATAN-600 radio telescope; and the RT-22 and RT-3 radio telescopes.
The observations that will be used in this project will be provided by the Russian and Ukranian Institutes / Observatory, as well as other participants, that will work on their analysis and theoretical interpretation.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
