Objetivo
The annotation.The program of investigation concerns meson spectroscopy, one of the most actively developing parts of High Energy Physics. In the framework of this project it is planned to continue a study of inclusive multiparticle states (both charged particles with identification and neutrals), systematic analysis and interpretation of existing data from the VES (VErtex Spectrometer) setup, and the Crystal Barrel. The meson resonances and the exotic states with masses up to 2.5-3 GeV will be investigated. In addition a detailed investigation of the isoscalar mesons in the mass region up to 2 GeV will be carried out.
The main aims of the project are:
Continuation of the partial wave analysis of the system p+p-p-; improving the accuracy of the parameters of mesons with quantum numbers 0-+ and 2-+. These are prime hybrid candidates.
Studying the A-dependence of resonances parameters and cross-sections.
Systematic investigation of the highest number of possible reactions in the framework of the VES setup. Precise determination of resonance parameters (masses, widths, branching rations, t-dependences) produced in diffractive and charge exchange reactions.
Carrying out the PWA of the reactions w w p- and f p- p0. The first reaction is interesting as a good opportunity to investigate massive objects (up to 3 GeV). The second reaction may be used (with the help of results from w p-- p00) to analyse the OZI rule in different JPC states.
Studying many different reactions with K-meson beam.
A new run at the 70 GeV IHEP machine to increase significantly statistics in a K-beam.
Investigation to find and prove the systematics of isoscalar and isovector resonances with JPC=0++ and 2++ in the mass region up to 2 GeV. The analysis based on the data from Crystal Barrel, GAMS, CERN-Munich and Brookhaven collaborations.
The results will be presented as publications in the journals Phys. Lett., Z. fur Phys., Sov. J. of Nucl. Phys, preprints IHEP,PNPI, and talks at conferences.
