Objective
Both a theoretical and an experimental study of the strongly coupled plasma over a wide range of plasma pressures and temperatures will be carried out in the framework of the project. The plasma will be investigated under conditions of low pressure gas discharge (the electron and ion densities are in the range of 109-1011 cm-3, the electron temperature - in the range of 20000-50000 K, the ion and atom temperature - in the range of 300-400 K) and under thermal plasma conditions (the electron and ion densities are in the range of 109- 1015 cm-3, the plasma temperature - in the range of 1800-20000 K). As a result of the investigations it is assumed to obtain the data about conditions and mechanisms of formation of ordered structures of different types (liquid, crystal or amorphous) nowadays absent in the world literature. New data will be obtained on processes of ionization and recombination in the plasma, on charge balance, on influence of electromagnetic forces on particle diffusion and on the formation of ordered structures for polydispersed particles. Studied on the generation of carbon clusters and soot particles under conditions of the arc discharge will be carried out. An experimental study will be carried out of plasma synthesis of CDP particles in atmosphere of nitrogen, argon, hydrogen and their mixtures in the arc plasma at pressure up to 5 atm. A modification will be studied of CDP surface on exposure to high energy density flows (with an account of phase transitions) upon an intensity of gasdynamic and electromagnetic field, sizes, type of CDP and composition of the surrounding medium. The possibilities of formation of ordered structures in nonideal plasma will be studied on a basis of classical and quasiclassical pseudopotential models of the particles' interaction.
The results of investigations will be presented in the form of scientific papers.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
