Objective
The main objective of the research project is taking advantages of enormous potential which possess multi wall carbon nanotubes in order to obtain polymer composites with improved properties. These ultra-light conductive polymer nanomaterials will be able to replace metal parts in many kinds of industry, especially in aeronautics and aircraft. In project realization four excellent scientific centers (from Russia, Belarus, Germany and Poland) having significant knowledge on CNT and large experience in international projects conducting are involved.
Within the confines of project the following issues will be developed:
MWCNT production methods to achieve the most effective parameters;
MWCNT fictionalization and modification;
fabrication and testing of polymeric composites based on MWCNT and condensation polymers (thermoplastics).
All these domains are under a broad interest of many research centers all over the world. The experiments and results following from the works on this project will be of great scientific and utilitarian value. They will provide new knowledge on MWCNT peculiarity, their characteristic depending on synthesis method, surface modification, the MWCNT influence on polymer structure and properties.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
