Energy and natural resources saving heat insulating materials made using local raw materials and industrial by-products and wastes

Objective

The purpose of the project is research and development of energy- and natural resources saving technologies for making highly efficient heat insulating materials using the advanced mineral cements with high incorporation rate of industrial by-products and wastes to meet the requirements of the sustainable development and to meet the needs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in heat insulating materials. The main accent in the R&D will be placed on arbolit (wood-chip based material) and cellular concrete formulations, their manufacturing technologies. In the first part of the given project the perfection of existing and development of new compositions unburning mineral binders, received with use slag, fly-ashes, phosphogypsum, tufit, glauconite is laid down to carry out. In the second part of the project, on the basis of obtained binders the development and research of the basic construction and technical properties for creation energy- and resource saving technology of obtaining heat insulating materials by using, in particular, cellulose containing waste (stalk of cotton, chocks of kenaf, husk of rice, wood's sawdust) is provided. The offered project covers the following investigation stages: "composition - technology - properties - application". In the part of application of offered heat insulating materials will be provided preparation of the technological regulations and carrying out of experimental-industrial output of heat insulating wares and designs. Will be created and offered for introduction in industry heat insulating materials with wide scale of density and various functional assignment. In connection with presence of similar natural materials and waste of industry in various regions the results of research can be used also by other countries of globe for obtaining heat insulating materials.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
