Objective
The objectives of INSPIRE are:
to increase the level of awareness regarding the benefits of ISO 9000 and software process assessment and improvement,
to facilitate the improvement process via appropriate training,
to promote the use of software process assessment and improvement techniques via focused improvement projects,
to encourage cooperation between software organisations throughout Central and Eastern Europe to share knowledge and experience and form links leading to mutual benefits.
These objectives will be achieved by conducting a major training needs analysis, or user survey, in each targeted country and using the results of this survey to plan a coherent programme of awareness and training events. In addition, a number of organisations in each country will be selected as the targets for focused software process improvement activities and mentoring support. The companies will be selected in a manner that will ensure the broadest possible spread of company size and industrial sector. The experience gained by these companies will be disseminated widely both inside and outside Central and Eastern Europe.
