Objective
To remain competitive, SMEs of the Aeronautic, Space and Defence industry need increasingly to innovate and internationalise. The community Framework Programme is an ideal mechanism for realising those goals. Nevertheless, SMEs face difficulties to participate, especially when they are mere subcontractors, deeply integrated in a supply chain.
They need a special accompanying measure, with the support of their main contractors/large companies and a transnational network of consulting companies already involved in their development:- to identify main technological and market issues that can be addressed through the participation in the Community RTD programmes- to be assisted through coaching, workshops and thematic clusters to make emerge and present European RTD projects.
