Objective
The Fight Against Fraud can be aided throughout Europe by developing measurement and testing methods, which detect, prevent and facilitate prosecution in relation to fraudulent activities. This will have a direct benefit to European Citizens, Businesses and Governments all of which are victims of fraud mainly in financial terms but also in terms of Health & Safety and the Environment. Fraudulent activities are common in most sectors covered in the Thematic Programmes of FP5 and this project will therefore address measurement and testing research aimed at the fraud problem in Quality of Life, Growth and, Energy and Environment. IST fraud will have software rather than measurement solutions and therefore will not be addressed in this project.
