SME ACCESS TO R & D clusters: Development of Medical Technology:

Objective

The project proposal involves SME's in innovation, research c-operation and EC programmes. The proposers are NCP's, Innovation centres and specialised consultants, interested in development of Medical technology for diagnostics and therapeutics. A SME scan will be executed to define possible participants. Guidelines to assist SME's for participation in MT research and development in the target area will be developed. The guidelines are directed at information on R & D and application of innovative products, implementation of new technologies in the production process and application for project grants for R&D. They take into account the incentives for SME's to participate, different EC implementation measures, specific capabilities of clusters and individual SME's, medical concerns as trends for innovation projects in MT, application possibilities in health care, feasibility. The work-plan contains annual workshops on results and progress and preparation of workshops and special courses for dissemination of knowledge to SME's. Progress can be measured with milestones and deliverables, resulting in scan outcomes, guideline documents, web site, meetings and workshops reports, future activities, and a final report with conclusions and recommendations
