BESTAS2 - stimulating SME participation in Framework 5

Objective

BESTAS2 follows up the current successful CRAFT stimulation action Project BESTAS due to end in July 2000. BESTAS2 aims to continue proposal stimulation to the end of the FPS (E.g. 2002) and extend its geographical range by adding three new partners from Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia. The new partners will be trained in the current and innovative practices of the existing BESTAS partners. Overall objectives are to strengthen the innovative capacity of SMEs in the EU and Central and Eastern European States Five brokerage events will be held to build transnational partnerships focussing on developing FP5 RTD projects
