Objective
The aim of the project is to produce non-oxide nano-powders of stable quality using a technical scale plasma synthesis process.
This goal must be reached using know-how and technology transfer and by the implementation of advanced quality management techniques. The quality of the two types of powder chosen in the project will be demonstrated using prototypes.
The ability to produce nano-powders having constant quality on a technical scale is the basis for the growing industrial use of promising nano-materials. The reduced wear and friction as well as other improve properties of the materials offer substantial benefits to several industry sectors.
The interdisciplinary co-operation of the partners (powder producers, materials producers and material users) is the basis for the success of the project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
