Objective
AIDAs WYSIWYG technologies will provide this need of trust. Acting as an "e-Administration Service Provider", AIDA will provide the fundament for new models of public service provision. AIDA will integrate a technical platform and use this to demonstrate the feasibility of using e-documents within a flexible and secure e-administration environment. E-documents are defined as machine readable data structures for authentic and legal electronic documents which can be used nationally and internationally. For e-documents, a general framework for such mutually acceptable documents for administrative purposes will be developed. Trustworthy digital signatures will be fundamental for various next generation services in the digital aera. AIDAs WYSIWYG technologies will provide this need of trust. Acting as an "e-Administration Service Provider", AIDA will provide the fundament for new models of public service provision.
OBJECTIVES
AIDA's objective is to implement Advanced Interactive Digital Administrations by providing them with an infrastructure which supports administrations and other public bodies, to improve businesses? and citizens access to information and regulation and facilitate contacts, exchanges and feedback between administrations and between administrations and third parties, i.e. citizens, institutions and business. To enable Advanced Interactive Digital Administrations an infrastructure has to be developed, that consists of the following entities: (1) Trustworthy digital signatures as a fundamental need for e-business and e-government services, (2) Machinable legal digital documents; (3) Environment for universal, pan european e-administration services.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The project will be executed by following steps:
- AIDA Service Definition and Evaluation Design of aimed "e-Administration Service Provider" and service components;
- Platform Implementation Specification of flow of information and access to system by platform participants;
- Deployment of platform elements and integration of security service bricks;
- Service Validation Validate the technical deployment and service definitions and provide feedback for improvement and tuning by establishing appropriate pilot services;
- Security Service Deployment. The security services required are identified and a appropriate concept will be the fundament for developing the needed security service bricks;
- WYSIWYS Overall Conception. The digital signature guidelines as well s several digital signature laws require an intelligent product that provides a secure signing terminal. One of the main features of this terminal is WYSIWYS;
- What You See Is What You Sign. An overall concept for software functionality and hardware requirements will be developed;
- WYSIWS Software Development Following results from WYSIWYG overall conception directives, WYSIWYS software will be implemented. Intelligent and reliable procedures have to filter/parse several formats of standard documents to provide WYSIWYS functionality. For a set of source formats methodology for parsing procedure has to be developed. Response of parsing procedure has to be defined - e.g. secure, qualified secure (warnings), insecure;
- WYSIWYS Terminal Integration.
