Objective
The objective of the project is to support the competitiveness of the European communication and information processing industry by reducing the entire design time and cost of digital embedded HW/SW systems. The key to achieve these goals in this project is to enable the application of object oriented design methodologies in a consistent way for the entire design and test. ODETTE will provide an object oriented design methodology for embedded HW/SW systems together with supporting tools. An integrated object oriented front-end design system for HW/SW co-design based on C/C++ and VHDL/Objective VHDL will be provided. It will include tools for (co-) simulation and synthesis from C++ and Objective VHDL. The methodology will be demonstrated by an industrial evaluation. Furthermore, the project will enable a sustainable applicability of the methodology by a commercial tool exploitation.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
