Objective
The KBEMOULD project has the general objective of developing innovative capacities of SMEs of Plastic Injection Moulds sector, specially of traditional sector such as the toy sector and auxiliary industry by the validation of technologies like Knowledge Based Engineering for the automation of the digital design of plastic injection moulds, accessible in a distributed environment Through the development of the innovative capacity of the SMEs in the fields related to knowledge based engineering applied to the digital design of moulds, it will be possible to speed up the time to market in a industrial sector fashion (like plastic sector, including toys) where the time is a key success factor. The technology validation process (Best Practice Action) will go from technologies implemented by the aerospace industry in Europe to plastic injection mould-makers (final users) in France, Italy and Spain for the different plastic sectors including toys.
