Media-Information Sans Frontieres

Objectif

The aim of MEDIA-ISF is to establish a new virtual business network organisation opening new dimensions for small and medium size enterprises and individuals in Europe. The offered three level structure of information service delivery helps to overcome the language borders and to establish quick and efficient information sharing and working relations among participants of the network. Covering regions in the member states and in the candidate countries from the beginning, the new structure facilitates the enhancement of the pre-enlargement co-operation at the level of small and medium size enterprises among the present and future members of the Union. The business case comprises a multi-media based and interactive information service focusing on the EU enlargement process, the regional policies and the SME sensitive market and legislation developments.

OBJECTIVES
The objective of the MEDIA-ISF model is to demonstrate the sustainability of the generic virtual network organisation promoting early and broad adoption of novel technologies, applications, business processes and organisational practices targeted at SMEs. The sustainability of the information network organisation providing business to business and business to customer relations improves the equal base participation of SMEs in the global digital economy, helps Enlargement countries to exploit their strength and increases the interaction and networking among different regions and business sectors. The novelty of the model comes from the unique combination of different type of services customised for different sectors and regions in the same structure, enhancing business co-operation, showcasing the benefits and facilitating their deployment in SMEs.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The MEDIA-ISF model is building from existing blocks of recent European technology, methodology and business results. The first implementation of the principal information services is organised around the specific digital contents of ""Media on EU Enlargement"" and ""Virtual Organisation"". The participants of the catalyst ""Virtual Organisation"" content group share their knowledge and existing practices with the media content group by providing the novel organisation structure of the MEDIA-ISF model and the combination of technologies and tools available as results of previous European developments (such as NQA Integrated Teamwork and Network based Quality Assurance model and tool, EFQM Excellence Model, multi-media based information services, Internet technology). Furthermore they produce the ""Virtual Organisation"" content by developing the model, evaluating and distributing the collected technological, business, organisational and operational performance metrics and feedbacks, developing and maintaining the implemented e-work and e-business models and their linking structure to the big Internet portals. By this catalyst role the implemented virtual organisation structure helps to put the media content on the front, and offers access of SMEs from different regions and business sectors to a borderless co-operation in the digital economy. All of the project activities covering the SME business requirement definition of media authoring and delivery services, the work planning, the multilingual implementation and the evaluation, packaging and dissemination of ""Media on EU Enlargement"" business case will be performed within the novel 3-level information service delivery structure of the MEDIA-ISF model.
