Objective
The objective of this project consists in the realization of a general purpose, low-cost, high speed digital video acquisition system, achieving high quality characteristics and state-of-the-art performances simultaneously on a set of parameters, a peculiarity which will allow a very large number of applications in the field of: automotive crash tests, automation, mechanics, biomechanics, fluidodynamics, and many others. This, together with the availability of high-speed, high-resolution CCD or CMOS video sensors, fast memory chips and high density programmable digital circuits at fairly low-cost should guarantee a solid market impact for this kind of equipment.
